why blog?

It's a common question with an easy answer: I love to journal. The bonus? A blog is basically my public journal about life's challenges and successes. By sharing my ups and down I may be able to encourage (or entertain) others. It's a great outlet for me and hopefully a thoughtful or informative read for others.

I am passionate about education and being outdoors, so you'll find lots of references to teaching ideas, gardening, and nature-based play. But I'm also big into DIY projects whether they are for children, gifts or for the home. In addition to growing food for my family, I also make lots of attempts at cooking and sharing recipes.  As you can tell, this blog is a mashup of topics. When I'm not gushing over my amazing kids, I give my two cents about other topics that ignite me.

What's this blog about?

-outdoor play spaces for children
-nature-based learning and environmental education
-recipes and cooking faux pas
-DIY toys and games for kids

  1. Hi there,

I found your blog after one of my friends shared it with me on Facebook and wanted to run a few things by you. I'm working on a home education project, and I think it’s something you could definitely relate to. Let me know if you have a moment to discuss.

    Thanks!

    Andrew
